Shielding Trainees - Training advice

Following the Wales CMO announcement on December 22nd, new instructions have been issued to the most vulnerable individuals who were previously shielding in this document https://gov.wales/written-statement-new-advice-those-who-are-clinically-extremely-vulnerable-previously-shielding

All affected trainees will need to re-do their individual risk assessments with their employer, who will follow the advice as it is set out.

Pregnant trainees should continue to follow the latest guidance from the RCOG, which can be found here:

The School Leads have put together non-clinical training opportunities for affected trainees which are available on our resources webpage - they provide a range of options for the most vulnerable training grade anaesthetists who will need to work remotely.

Any trainee who has returned to shielding and remote working should keep Libby Duff (ST TPD) and Graeme Lilley (Core TPD) updated with the details of their particular circumstances.
