ARCP Submission Dates
The submission dates for all ARCP evidence for 2027 are published below.
All ARCPs will be held in absence. In the event of an unsatisfactory outcome, a virtual meeting will be arranged within the next 10 day period with the Head of School and Training Programme Director. You will be notified of the date and time of any meeting via HEIW.
All LLP evidence, including the ESSR, must be present to view by the advertised submission date - please co-ordinate the date for ESSR completion with your ES and CT as early as possible so that all parties are provided with enough time to undertake the required work. Trainers, with multiple clinical and non-clinical commitments will typically need a week to review ESSRs ahead of the submission deadline.
The Welsh School of Anaesthesia evidence submission deadline is :
- Anaesthesia : approximately one week before the ARCP review date (please work to the School submission deadline listed below, rather than the HEIW 2 week deadline).
- FICM residents including dual anaesthesia/FICM : two weeks before the ARCP review date.

Submission dates for 2027 ARCPs are:
Winter ARCPs
Anaesthesia Stage 1 - January 21st 2027
Anaesthesia Stage 2,3 - January 13th 2027
FICM (single/dual) - January 11th 2027
Summer ARCPs
Anaesthesia Stage 1 - June 25th 2027
Anaesthesia Stage 2,3 - June 17th 2027
FICM (single/dual/non anaes) - June 22nd 2027
All dual anaes/ICM residents of any grade will now have both portfolios reviewed at ARCPs by a joint anaes/ICM panel on one date.
Residents who do not submit their evidence by the submission deadline will receive an Outcome 5, followed by an Outcome 2.
In the event of an unsatisfactory ARCP outcome, resident meetings with the Head of School and TPD will be confirmed.
