RCoA Risk assessment for pregnant and breastfeeding anaesthetists, November 2025.
For any resident undertaking training whilst pregnant and following return to work, the current guidance from the RCoA with respect to working patterns and managing associated risks is important to read. We would recommend any resident in the early stages of pregnancy read this so they are fully informed of the process as the pregnancy continues. All arrangements are made at a local Health Board level and so early communication with your department managers is necessary.
