Human Factors in Healthcare

The Human Factors in Surgery Network (HFSN) are excited to announce their annual conference hosted by the Oxford Medical Sciences Education Centre. This exciting one day conference will feature lectures from human factors and safety experts, including; Professor Kevin Fong, Lt Coln Langley Sharp and Professor Peter Brennan amongst many others. The conference will explore the impact of human factors in healthcare, innovation, education and well-being with an anticipated 6 CPD points. Learning points easily linked to many aspects of the curriculum including non-clinical domains. More information available on the website

Transfer Course - last minute spaces available!

There is a one day Critical Care Transfer Course on Monday 9th June in Morriston Hospital, Swansea. The course includes simulation sessions and equipment tutorials which provide an excellent opportunity to achieve the RCoA curriculum requirements for Transfer Training. The course has previously received positive feedback, with the same course running in ABUHB on this date. Places are limited with future courses planned.
