Final FRCA Exam Teaching & Courses
Final exam based teaching should generally be taking place in your local hospital/health board (virtual or face to face depending on numbers). Please contact relevant Lead Consultants for Final FRCA in each hospital if you would like to attend teaching outside of your own health board - this will need specific permission from them.

Welsh Anaesthetics Finals Teaching (WAFT)
WAFT run free study days to help prepare candidates for the Final FRCA written exam. The focus will be on "hot topics" and exam-specific question practice, complimenting the extensive specialty-specific content already available on the Welsh school website. These days will be delivered as face to face 2-day courses shortly before each written exam date. The next date is TBC at HEIW, Nantgarw (Teams link will be available).

SWAC - Final FRCA Intensive Viva Course
An intensive day of Final Viva practice to prepare for the Final FRCA SOE exam. The next course will be held on Weds 21st May to prepare for the June 2025 sitting at University Hospital Llandough.
If you would like to attend and have either passed the Written or are sitting it in February, please email Catherine.Griffiths6@wales.nhs.uk with the following details:
1) Current exam status (have you passed the Written already?)
2) Place of work
3) Car registration number
4) Dietary requirements
Priority will be given to those who have already passed the Written exam.
