**Advanced communication in Critical care and Anaesthesia**

*Advanced communication in Critical care and Anaesthesia*

Monday 23rd February 2026

A novel communication skills study day for Stage 2-3 residents in Anaesthesia or FICM is being run in May 2026.

Drs Lewys Winfield Young and Mike Cooper are reaching out to advertise a really exciting educational opportunity opportunity this May.
We rarely get the chance to practise how we communicate — or to really think about the language we use in clinical practice.
The words we choose shape our working relationships, influence how families understand what’s happening, and can stay with patients and relatives long after the clinical details are forgotten.
We’re running a small-group, consultant-led Advanced Communication in Critical Care & Anaesthesia day on 1st May at the Friars Education Centre (RGH), with actor-based simulation and workshops designed to explore those conversations in a meaningful way.

£50 | 21 places | aiming for a 50:50 Anaes/ICU split. (Stage 2/3 residents)

I truly believe this is one of the most important skills we develop in our careers. Message me on what’s app on 07540862563 or email winfieldyoungl@gmail.com if you’d like some more details or to book a space.
